The Highland County Prosecutor's Office is responsible for all felony criminal  prosecution; Juvenile delinquent  and unruly prosecution; prosecution of all cases filed in Madison Township, Greenfield; and represents the County in all appeals filed in the Fourth District Court of Appeals and the Ohio Supreme Court.  The Highland County Prosecutor's Office represents Highland County Children Services in the protection of abused, neglected, and dependent  children. The HCPO also represents all county offices, including  the Highland County Commissioners, the Highland County Treasurer, Highland County Auditor, Highland County Recorder, Highland County Clerk of Courts, Highland County Engineer, Highland County Job & Family Services, Highland County Adult Protective Services, Highland County Airport, Highland County Sheriff's Office, Highland County Community Action Organization, Highland County Board of Health,  and the Highland County Board of Health.  The Highland County Prosecutor's Office also represents the trustees of the 17  townships in Highland County.  The Highland County Prosecutor's Office represents the joint fire and EMS districts in the county as well as the Senior Fairboard and Ag Society. 
     The Highland County Prosecutor's Office files all delinqent tax foreclosures and protects the County's interest in bankruptcy actions.  The Office also files all nuisance violations on behalf of the Board of Health.
